Global web host Hostinger has officially launched operations in Nigerian online-presence market, targeting businesses and entrepreneurs who run their operations online, offering useful tools including a naira-denominated payment account and an AI-powered website builder.
Now, customers can make payments for products and services purchased on Hostinger in Nigeria using naira without worrying about currency or exchange-rate headaches. The company says it aims to serve Nigerian small businesses and entrepreneurs who want to build or improve their online presence.
Hostinger NIgeria also supports localised content and 24/7 customer support, which helps overcome some of the language, time-zone, and infrastructure barriers that non-localized services may face. In addition to that, Hostinger is bringing a full suite of tools that go beyond “just hosting.”
These include: AI-powered website creation and management, AI-based content and marketing tools, E-commerce support, and Affordability plus convenience. The hosting AI tool is capable of domain registration, automating content creation, and e-commerce management.
Nigerian customers can now access Hostinger’s full suite of tools: VPS services, WordPress hosting, website builder, and more. The tools also include several AI-powered features such as Hostinger Reach for automated email marketing and Hostinger Horizons for building websites and web apps.
Here are the services that Hostinger Nigeria offers:
The Lithuania-headquartered company's entry into Nigeria blends with the country's growth of the digital economy, which added about ₦7 trillion to GDP in Q1 2025 and is driven by more than 39 million micro, small, and medium businesses.
Many of these businesses and entrepreneurs are still struggling with technical skills like automating payment setup for customers, coding or developing advance pages, and even simple website configuration like SEO and UI/UX.
However, the platform’s AI assistant for website management, Kodee, are designed for these tasks. Kodee can also help businesses and site owners with the technical aspects of their sites like migrating websites, generating content, and managing products on WooCommerce. This tool allows businesses and entrepreneurs to operate without needing a developer.
According to Hostinger, Kodee handled roughly 855,000 customer interactions in September 2025, automatically resolving 76% of them and saving the company over €750,000 ($873,000) in that single month.
These make Hostinger’s AI-powered no-code tools more valuable for simplifying all these processes, making building an online presence in Nigeria and easy task to accomplish. In addition to that, the naira-payments support allows the platform to removes the challenges of using foreign-currency cards or dealing with exchange-rate fluctuations.
However, it's worth noting that Hostinger is coming into Nigeria to compete with many local companies who are dominants of the market. Existing hosting providers like Smartweb Nigeria, telaHosting, Host Africa, Qserver, GO54QServers, and Truehost Nigeria are already in the market offering local‑currency payments, domain registration, and hosting plans tailored to Nigerian SMEs.
So, while Naira payments aren’t new in the industry, only time will tell whether Hostinger’s AI-powered tools—capable of automating everything from domain registration to full website creation—will help the company establish a strong foothold in Nigeria’s online-presence market. Notably, Hostinger Nigeria's prices are competitive.
