OPAY has announced the renovations of its Ibadan office, making it a new centre hub or headquarter for all Oyo state offices. The company organized an opening event at the location, and many partners, members of the media and journalists, business leaders, agents and merchants attended the opening event on Thursday.

The new Ibadan office is located at:📍 Tricennial House, 189B Fajuyi Road, Adamasingba, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Elizabeth Wang, OPay’s Chief Commercial Officer, explained that opening the Ibadan office is part of the company’s effort to make top-tier financial services more accessible to Nigerians. She noted that although many users are comfortable managing their accounts online, but a large number still value face-to-face interactions.

The new branch, she said, is designed to provide dependable assistance and a smooth experience for all customers, no matter how they choose to engage with OPay. Well, for me and many other Gen Z out their, I don't think there's a need to visit OPay office because the company has introduced advanced security features, including Face ID, to make transactions safer and to strengthen protection across its digital ecosystem.

But thinking otherwise, if OPay fails to refund your money, visiting their real office—not agent shop—can actually soften the problems. Our old families that doesn't understand this new digital age can also visit the office for face-to-face customers representative assistance.

Nevertheless, thr new Ibadan office is not a waste. Rather, it's a financial hub that is designed to improve customer experience, give easy and quick resolution to customers account issues, enhance merchant support, and and serve as a venue for showcasing products and facilitating collaboration with partners.

What do you think about this new Ibadan office? Is it a good idea or a bad one? Let's know your opinions in the comments section.
